The Presenter Transformation learning experience is about more than presentation technique alone. It’s about changing the presenter. At McArdle Ramerman, we use a combination of individual coaching and group learning to change presenters so that they can create and expand effective audience connection. Each new group is unique, because we modify the curriculum to meet the needs of the individuals in the class.
Perspective of self and others
A skilled coach, working with results from the DISC instrument, will work in four one-on-one sessions to guide the learner to a deeper self-awareness in presenting, working and living. This leads to a stronger sense of audience members as individuals, better alignment with business goals and perspective for deeper thinking.
Preparation of content and presentation tactics
We’ll look at how to build and prioritize key messages. We’ll also talk about PowerPoint, its uses and abuses, and when and how it can be used or avoided to best effect.
Delivery of the presentation
In each class, learners will do two presentations. A short assignment will allow them to focus on the experience of getting ready and giving the presentation. A longer presentation will simulate real business situations and allow learners to focus on the essentials of message building and delivery with specific audiences in mind. Positive and helpful feedback from fellow students will play a very important role.
Feedback
Learners will learn how to give, receive, encourage and teach feedback for continuous improvement.
Every cohort is unique, so offerings vary from group to group. Here are some of the topics covered virtually every time:
- Advanced self-awareness.
- Centering and readiness.
- Audience: Presenting based on their style, not yours.
- Stage presence and command.
- Owning the space.
- PowerPoint and other props: when and how to use them.
- Message building.
- How many executives plan: Strategic cascade and where you fit.
- Practical speaking experience and coaching.
- Feedback training and practice, which includes detailed approach to presenter and materials rating.
We’d like our learners to continue to grow long after the class ends. To that end, we’ll be providing rich reading to explore, and may from time to time stay in touch with alumni with new ideas as we find them.
Four one-hour individual coaching sessions are by appointment; group sessions are held monthly on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Reading materials and meals are included in tuition fee.
Tuition of $3,900 covers all costs, with 100% due at enrollment. Payments are non-refundable. All sessions held at McArdle Ramerman’s offices.
Enrollment is limited. To keep the process focused and peerful, there are just eight seats available. Call (585) 325- 1210 and speak to Terry McArdle to sign up for the next cohort.
