Okay, maybe confidence is not a link to the WHOLE universe, but it’s definitely a key to organizational and leadership excellence.

From the beginning of my executive coaching practice two decades ago, leaders have brought the issue of “presence” as a dilemma they want to address.

It just came up again this morning: “How can I explain to people that it’s not that I don’t care about them, it’s just that I don’t have time to come to their offices to chat.”

Busy-ness because of the increasing speed of business puts intense pressure on every executive’s schedule—and very, very often, relationships with our peers and staff get squeezed out. The risk to us as leaders: becoming an oxymoron being a leader who doesn’t have quality relationships.
