How we implement the Balanced Scorecard

The Balanced Scorecard discipline offered by McArdle Ramerman flows through the steps shown above. Note that the last step leads to future as well as current actions. Once it’s in place, your strategic process is maintained by your organization with little involvement by us unless you request it.

The startup is a manageable but rigorous process. If your organization is one of the few that already has key elements in place as part of pre-existing strategic discipline, preparation time can be shortened.

Those elements include a clear and up-to-date mission and vision that is clearly understood throughout the organization; clarity on market standing and competitive position; and active team-building and executive development training for the CEO and senior team. We have found that this development work is critical to the successful creation, implementation and ongoing practice of the Balanced Scorecard at any organization.
